Registration Criteria

Adult Registration Criteria

Acuity of no better than 6/24 in the “better” eye with corrective lenses

or

Field of vision of vision not greater than 20 degrees in the horizontal meridian of the “better” eye

Child Registration Criteria

Acuity of no better than 6/18 in the “better” eye with corrective lenses

A visual field so restricted that it affects the learner’s ability to function in an educational setting

A progressive loss of vision which may affect the learner’s ability to function in an educational setting

For learners from birth to five years of age, bilateral lack of central vision with an estimated visual acuity of 6/18 or less after best possible correction; or

Documented eye condition as above.
